Despite their history, Caitlin Clark and Raven Johnson are getting along well now that they are teammates on the Indiana Fever.
Johnson previously admitted that Clark’s viral wave-off during a college NCAA Final Four matchup led to intense online bullying. So much so that the former South Carolina Gamecocks star considered quitting basketball altogether.
That’s all water under the bridge now, though. Johnson herself said that Clark has been very helpful in her transition with the Fever. The two-time All-Star has also had nothing but good things to say about her new teammate.
The on-court rivalry has not died, though. In fact, Johnson could not help but taunt Clark after defeating her in a half-court shoot-out during practice on Saturday.

Clark and Johnson ended up going 1-on-1 during the tail end of a half-court contest. Johnson answered Clark’s half-court triple with a make of her own. The rookie scored a second one to secure the win.
After running around the court to celebrate, Johnson rushed toward a disappointed Clark, who had just lost the shoot-out. Johnson taunted the Fever superstar by bringing out the L signs with her hands right to Clark’s face.
Johnson is expected to serve as Clark’s backup this coming season. She is the reigning SEC Defensive Player of the Year, and her activity on the defensive end should provide a significant boost for the Fever’s backcourt.
The Fever blew out the Nigerian Women’s Basketball Team on Saturday in their final preseason game. They finished the preseason with a 2-1 record.
Indiana’s next game is on May 9 when it opens the season at home against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings.
