Indiana Fever rookie Raven Johnson made it abundantly clear that she wants to move on from her previous incident with Caitlin Clark.

The former South Carolina Gamecocks star had an unwanted encounter with Clark during a Final Four matchup in the NCAA tournament. Clark, then with the Iowa Hawkeyes, infamously waved off a wide-open Johnson in the three-point line. The incident went viral, which Johnson said almost forced her to quit basketball altogether.

While Johnson admitted that she has not spoken to Clark about the issue, the 5-foot-8 guard is determined to put it all behind her now that their teammates.

Johnson spoke to the press on Wednesday during the Fever’s media day. The reigning SEC Defensive Player of the Year shared an update on her progress as the team kicked off training camp on Sunday.

According to Johnson, Clark has played a key role in the rookie’s transition early on.

"It's actually very exciting," Johnson said. "It's fun to learn from the vets here. They definitely make sure I get the plays.

"I mean, yesterday they were just throwing plays at me, and I'm like, 'Oh gosh. Geez, they run a lot of plays.'

"But Caitlin Clark was helping me through all the hard times. She was helping me. I was like, 'What do I do here?' or 'Where should I cut?' I was asking her a lot of questions. ... I think I asked her probably like 1,000 questions yesterday."

There is clearly no bad blood between Johnson and Clark. They are both professionals and have moved on from whatever history they may have.

At this point, Johnson and Clark are now teammates with a singular goal. And that’s to help the Fever achieve their objectives in 2026.
