The spotlight will be on Sabrina Ionescu this Wednesday night when the New York Liberty take on the Atlanta Dream in Game 2 of the WNBA semifinals.
Unfortunately for Ionescu and the Liberty, they were unable to slow down the Dream in Game 1 of their semifinal matchup. Even though Ionescu had 27 points on 10-of-20 shooting, she had five costly turnovers.
“I mean they upped their defensive their defensive pressure,” Ionescu said postgame. “I think we were driving into driving lanes and not really creating a good outlet for our teammates, and so I think we’ll go back, we’ll watch the film, and just understand those points off turnovers really matter, especially on a team that thrives off of it.”

If the Liberty want to win Game 2 and even up the series, they’ll need to cut down on the turnovers against the Dream.
With that being said, New York needs an elite performance from Ionescu. The same can be said about Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones.

Following the team’s Game 1 win, Dream star Rhyne Howard let the Liberty know their turnovers weren’t self-inflicted wounds.
“We know how we played,” Howard said. “We know what we’re going to continue to do. If they want to think it’s self-inflicted, then that’s just on them.”
Game 2 will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
