Free agency reshapes the NFL landscape in massive ways from year to year, and it also has a major impact on how fantasy football picks are valued. Even though player movement is a month away from kicking off, we'll take a look at all of the noteworthy impending free agents through the lens of potential fantasy football value.

Note: More free agents will become available as teams look to clear salaries and the 2026 NFL Draft makes players expendable. Only fantasy-relevant names are included, and this list is subject to change as players re-sign and teams use tags to retain them. All free-agent data comes from Spotrac.

Ranking Fantasy Football's Prominent Free-Agent WRs in 2026

Several familiar names sit atop the list of upcoming free-agent wide receivers, most notably George Pickens, Mike Evans, and Deebo Samuel. Pickens turned in a career year at the best possible time, and he'll cash in top dollar in this class. Evans probably returns to Tampa Bay, and Samuel could draw interest from several teams, including a potential reunion in San Francisco.

With Malik Nabers lost to injury in 2025, Wan'Dale Robinson busted out a career year, and it will be interesting to see how that translates to the market. Alec Pierce could test the waters but profiles as a role player wherever he lands, and there will be no shortage of suitors for Rashid Shaheed given his explosiveness in the vertical and return games.

Jauan Jennings may look to sign with the highest bidder after continually proving his worth in various roles with San Fran, whereas Romeo Doubs could prove to be an undervalued acquisition if Green Bay indeed lets him walk.

The rest of the noteworthy names are upside-based fliers, journeymen, and aged-out stars. Unless they land in a fortuitous setting, the final tier of these players can be avoided.
