Week 4 of the 2026 college football season is in the books, and it’s time to evaluate all of those results and rank all 138 teams in the nation. Texas and Georgia hold the top two spots in this week’s rankings, with Notre Dame, Indiana, Ohio State and Miami rounding out the next tier. Florida jumped to No. 7 following its win over Ole Miss on Saturday, while Oregon (No. 14) and Iowa (No. 15) are also on the move following clutch victories in Big Ten play.
Mississippi State jumped to No. 16 after a fourth-quarter comeback over Missouri, and UCLA (No. 23) is on the rise after a blowout win over Maryland on Saturday. Wake Forest (No. 28), Wisconsin (No. 32), Cincinnati (No. 40) and UCF (No. 57) are also moving up following key victories in Week 4.
Oklahoma (No. 38), Texas A&M (No. 41) and California (No. 61) are among the teams on the decline in the rankings following Week 4 losses.
Boise State, Memphis, James Madison, Tulsa, Western Michigan, New Mexico, Fresno State, UTSA and North Dakota State headline the highest-ranked Group of 6 teams after Week 4.
