The Texas Rangers received positive news on two injured players on Wednesday, with manager Skip Schumaker revealing that Josh Jung is available off the bench and Wyatt Langford has cleared every hurdle in his hamstring rehab.

Schumaker told reporters that Langford took live batting practice and checked all boxes, putting him on track to play before the All-Star break. That is a notable shift after the Rangers had previously ruled him out through the break entirely.

Jung, who has missed time with right knee soreness after fouling a ball off his knee on July 4, is also available off the bench for Wednesday's series finale against the Los Angeles Angels, per Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Langford, 24, was placed on the 10-day injured list June 28 with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain, his second IL stint of 2026 after missing 39 games earlier with a right forearm strain. Before the hamstring issue hit, he was slashing .359/.406/.703 with six home runs and 15 RBI over his last 15 games.

He was drafted fourth overall in the 2023 MLB Draft out of the University of Florida. The 2023 World Series champion Rangers have been waiting on his bat all season as one of their most important offensive pieces.

Jung fouled a ball off his knee on July 4 and missed the next two games. The 28-year-old is batting .297 with a .362 on-base percentage, an .811 OPS, nine home runs and 34 RBIs. He was an All-Star starter in 2023 and helped Texas win the World Series that year.

The Rangers are 46-45 and second in the American League West, a half-game behind the Seattle Mariners. Texas opens the second half on July 17 at Atlanta with both players potentially available.

Getting both back before the break gives Texas a boost heading into a second half that includes a critical stretch against the Mariners and Houston Astros in the AL West race.
