It's been a pretty eventful offseason for Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua and not in any good ways. On the heels of a lawsuit filed against him by a woman claiming that he bit her and made an antisemitic statement, Nacua is finally breaking his silence.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, Nacua said he was grateful for the support of the Rams organization amid the civil lawsuit.

"I've been really grateful for the support from the organization, especially my teammates," Nacua said. "People reaching out at different times of the offseason, just checking in. ... Some of the things I feel like I've learned is it's OK to ask for support and then to recognize the platform that I have and being a professional football player and trying to use that for the betterment of myself and for those around me."

Though he would not address the specifics of the lawsuit in question, his attorney has previously stated that he denies the allegations "in the strongest possible terms."

Nacua said that he's been using the NFL offseason to go to rehab and therapy.

"There's been a lot of good things in the midst of some of these things that have been challenging for me, but it's been a great improvement in my life," Nacua said.

Nacua enters the season on the final year of his rookie contract and is set to become a free agent after the season. But he isn't letting his lack of a contract extension get him down.

"I know that my job is to come up here and to be with the guys and go out there and compete every single day and that's been kind of my mindset," Nacua said. "If I can continue to improve as a person, I know that the coaches and the people around me are helping me improve as a football player. So those are the things that I can control and then hopefully allow those other things to handle themselves."

The 2025 season saw Nacua lead the league in receptions. He finished the season with Pro Bowl and First-Team All-Pro honors while helping the Rams reach the NFC Championship Game.
