Puka Nacua and the Los Angeles Rams had a terrific season during the 2025 NFL regular season. The Rams finished with a 12-5 record and entered the 2-25-26 NFL playoffs as a No. 5 seed. After defeating the Carolina Panthers 34-41 in the wild-card round, the Los Angeles Rams beat the No. 2-seeded Chicago Bears 20-17 in overtime in the divisional round.
Los Angeles eventually lost to the eventual Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks 31-27 in the NFC Championship Game. Head coach Sean McVay can still be proud of the season, as quarterback Matthew Stafford won the NFL MVP Award. Nacua was also fantastic for the Rams, finishing with 1,715 receiving yards, second in the league only behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba and his 1,793 receiving yards. The Orem High School graduate led the NFL in receptions with 129 and was tied for sixth with 10 touchdowns.

Nacua was elected to his first All-Pro team, and with the core of McVay-Stafford-Nacua intact, Los Angeles expects to make it back to the Super Bowl for the 2026 season. The team is currently training at its practice facility at the Warner Center in Woodland Hills, California. On Tuesday, the team received news about a potential injury to its star wide receiver.
On the social media website X, ESPN's Lindsey Thiry reported that Nacua left practice early with the training staff. Head coach McVay kept the information close to the vest, as McVay did not give an update on the potential injury to former BYU Cougar standout.
"Rams WR Puka Nacua left practice with the training staff," Thiry wrote on X. "Sean McVay says he has no update on what happened."
Los Angeles will open the 2026 NFL regular season against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday, Sept. 10, at 8:30 p.m. ET, for the NFL's first-ever game in Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
