The Las Vegas Raiders won’t have Brock Bowers at their disposal for Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport just announced that Bowers will miss a “game or two” after undergoing meniscus trim surgery. The usual timeline for that injury is four to six weeks, but the Raiders are optimistic he’ll be back sooner.
“Raiders All-Pro and Pro Bowl TE Brock Bowers underwent a meniscus trim Tuesday in Dallas with Dr. Daniel Cooper and is expected to miss ‘a game or two,’ league sources told me and Adam Schefter,” Rapoport wrote. “Bowers got banged up ‘a little in camp’ and the injury was diagnosed last week.”
This is unfortunate news for Bowers, who missed five games last season due to injury. The Georgia product still hauled in 64 passes for 680 yards and seven touchdowns.

Brutal news for the Raiders.
When healthy, Bowers is the best tight end in football. He proved that by having 112 catches for 1,194 yards during his rookie season with the Raiders.
As you’d imagine, fans and fantasy football owners are devastated over Bowers’ injury.
“This kid is super talented, but getting injured pretty frequently towards the beginning of his career,” one fan said. “The miles add up.”
“This absolutely stinks,” a Raiders fan commented.
“My fantasy team is cooked,” another fan wrote on X.
Hopefully, this is truly a minor hurdle for Bowers and the Raiders. If not, it could be a long season for Klint Kubiak’s squad.
