Snoop Dogg was among the first to reach out to Ilia Malinin, who felt devastated by his eighth-place finish in the men’s singles figure skating event at the Winter Olympics. The 21-year-old, who calls himself the "Quad God," admitted that pressure got to him and it distracted him while performing his routine.
The American rapper, together with sports superstars Tom Brady, Stephen Curry and Simon Biles made sure to console Malinin. The Olympian said he went online to see people's reactions about his performance and was surprised to see people being very supportive.
"I got so much love, so much support, and everyone was there for me, had so many different people reach out to me,” he said after the event.
“Tom Brady, Steph Curry, Biles, Snoop. I’m honestly just so honored for that and I feel like it just made my day, honestly.”

Malinin is putting the disappointing finish behind him, and Snoop Dogg is helping him get over it. The "Drop Like It's Hot" rapper was part of the broadcast for the women's figure skating event together with actress Martha Stewart and Malinin was there to join them.
They danced while vibing to Georgia skater Anastasiia Gubanova's performance.
Snoop Dogg has become a fixture at the Winter Olympics in Milan, interacting with spectators, athletes and other celebrities. He and Malinin had an interaction two weeks ago and the young athlete was starstruck by the celebrity's presence. Dogg was even wearing a jacket with Malinin's face on it.
"The first time I saw him, I could not process what was happening. The fact that Snoop Dogg was wearing a shirt of me... It's like a different level," he said in a TikTok post by NBC Washington.
