Believe it or not, President Donald Trump was asked on Friday to comment on the never-ending debate involving Michael Jordan and LeBron James.
Jordan, a six-time NBA champion and 14-time All-Star, has been considered the best player in league history for at least two decades. James, however, has made the debate quite interesting by winning four titles and racking up 22 All-Star appearances. It also helps him that he's still playing at a high level at the age of 41.
During a press briefing at the White House this afternoon, Trump was informed about James' decision to sign a two-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers. He was then asked who he considers to be the best player ever: MJ or LeBron?
Not only did Trump side with Jordan, he suggested that James might be a racist. We're not kidding.
"Well, Michael Jordan's a friend of mine, play golf with him. He's a really good guy," Trump replied. "And I think LeBron is maybe he's a racist, but maybe he doesn't like Trump. I only like people who like me. So I would say Michael Jordan all the way."

LeBron hasn't been shy about his political views.
Prior to the 2016 presidential election, James endorsed Hilary Clinton over Trump.
“I don’t want to see any of them fall through the cracks. That easily could have happened to me,” James wrote, via Basketball Network. “When I look at this year’s presidential race, it’s clear which candidate believes the same thing. Only one person running truly understands the struggles of an Akron child born into poverty. And when I think about the kinds of policies and ideas the kids in my foundation need from our government, the choice is clear. That candidate is Hillary Clinton.”
James went on to endorse Joe Biden in 2020 and Kamala Harris in 2024, so it's fair to say he doesn't support Trump.
