President Trump continues to work on the future of college sports.

The President of the United States has announced that he will be holding a meeting over the future of college football. Former college football coaches Urban Meyer and Nick Saban are expected to attend, as are the commissioners of the Power Four conferences. Meanwhile, PGA icon Tiger Woods and NBA commissioner Adam Silver are also expected to attend the meeting, giving their insight.

ESPN had the full list of invitees, which includes roughly 35 people:

  • Golfer Tiger Woods
  • Former college football coaches Nick Saban, Mack Brown and Urban Meyer
  • Former secretary of state and College Football Playoff selection committee member Condoleezza Rice
  • New England Patriots president Jonathan Kraft
  • NBA commissioner Adam Silver
  • Fox Sports president Eric Shanks
  • ESPN chairman Jimmy Pitaro
  • Several athletic directors, including Notre Dame's Pete Bevacqua
  • Former college athletes, including Florida quarterback Tim Tebow and Florida State basketball and football player Charlie Ward

Notably snubbed from the meeting: ESPN college football star Paul Finebaum.

Finebaum, who at one point was considering a run for U.S. Congress as a Republican, was not invited to the meeting.

But he doesn't seem too upset about the "snubbing."

Finebaum spoke out on the meeting on Monday

During a segment on "McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning," Finebaum said he was hopeful that the meeting could bring change.

"I hope so," Finebaum said. "If something doesn't happen very quickly, and I mean in the next short period of time, and we're talking about weeks, not years, then this thing could blow up."

Finebaum made it clear that changes are necessary.

"We don't need any more shows in college football," Finebaum said. "We need action."

"The key isn't for sound bites," he said. "The key is to actually get something implemented."

It's unclear what exactly Trump and his guests will be discussing. However, Finebaum has made it clear that he wants to see change in a real way.
