Soccer fans should expect to see President Donald Trump in the stands for Sunday's World Cup final between Argentina and Spain.
Before the World Cup even got started, there were rumblings about the U.S. president attending the final on July 19. FIFA president Gianni Infantino later revealed that Trump would present the trophy to the winner.
"We will be together with the president [Trump] enjoying the final and handing the trophy to the winner, of course, together," Infantino said while on FOX.
During this Thursday's briefing, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt once again confirmed that Trump will attend Sunday's final at MetLife Stadium.
"A fitting conclusion to a tournament that showcased America's ability to host the world on the grandest stage," Leavitt told reporters.

The World Cup final should be epic.
Argentina secured a spot in the World Cup final by shocking England in the semifinals. Lionel Messi set up his teammates for the tying and go-ahead goals in the 85th and 92nd minutes.
"We are coming from being the best during these last four years like it or not and say what they want," Messi said. "Once again we proved it's no fluke and nobody handed us anything. Reaching two consecutive World Cup finals is not for everyone and this group did it."
Spain, meanwhile, dismantled France in the semifinals to secure a spot in their first World Cup final since 2010. They've only given up one goal all tournament.
