Prayers are pouring in for the Beckham family on Monday.

David and Victoria Beckham's son, Brooklyn, announced on Monday that he has no interest in reconciling with his family. Brooklyn Beckham, 26, has been in a public rift with his parents for several months now. He made it clear that he has no interest in reconciling with them.

“I do not want to reconcile with my family,” he wrote in a post on his Instagram Stories on Monday. “I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

Brooklyn Beckham made it clear that he's felt disrespected by his parents.

“The night before our wedding, members of my family told me that Nicola was ‘not blood’ and ‘not family,’” Brooklyn recalled. “Since the moment I started standing up for myself with my family, I've received endless attacks from my parents, both privately and publicly, that were sent to the press on their orders.”

It's been tough for Brooklyn and his mental health.

“I grew up with overwhelming anxiety,” he explained. “For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared. I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose, and have found peace and relief.”

Brooklyn Beckham made it clear what he wants.

“My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation,” he wrote. “All we want [is] peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”

"You just need to live your own life. To have the freedom to choose and to love - that is the most important thing 😎," one fan added.

"Proof that you can get however rich and famous it can still go downhill," one fan added.

"That’s sad to see, when family conflict goes public it shows how fame can turn private pain into a lifelong fracture," one fan added.
