Prayers are pouring in after a "horrific" college team bus crash in Iowa earlier this week.
A bus carrying a college baseball team from Iowa was in a deadly bus accident. One person is dead and dozens more are injured. The bus was carrying a team from Iowa Lakes Community College.
The team, which opened its season on February 6, was set to take on North Arkansas College in Harrison, Arkansas on Thursday.
The team bus got into a rollover crash on on Iowa Highway 4 near 220th Street, just west of Twin Lakes in Calhoun County, around 11 a.m. Iowa State Patrol officials confirmed to KCCI that one person died in the crash.
No victims have been identified.
"Our hearts are heavy as we grieve alongside the Iowa Lakes College community. The loss of a life is a tragedy that reaches far beyond one campus. We extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the individual who passed away, and we are lifting up in prayer those who were injured and all who are affected. During moments like this, we are reminded that the higher education community is a family, and we stand ready to support Iowa Lakes Community College in any way we can," North Arkansas said.
The school added: "The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our highest priority. The College is actively supporting those affected and communicating directly with families."
U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra, who represents Iowa's 4th Congressional District, is devastated.
"I am deeply saddened by the tragic bus accident involving the Iowa Lakes Community College baseball team in Calhoun County.I’m praying for the family of the individual who lost their life and for any who were injured.Thank you to our local law enforcement, Iowa State Patrol, first responders, and medical professionals working swiftly at the scene."

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds released a statement, as well.
"Kevin and I are heartbroken by the horrible news of a deadly crash involving an Iowa Lakes Community College bus transporting student athletes. We are praying for all affected by this tragedy and their families. Please join us in keeping Iowa Lakes Community College in our hearts."
