One day after the men’s NCAA Tournament was pared down to its Final Four on Sunday, fans on Monday learned which four teams are still alive in the women’s bracket. All four No. 1 seeds in the women’s tournament are in the Final Four after South Carolina defeated TCU by 20 points and Texas destroyed Michigan by 26.
The semifinals take place in Phoenix on Friday, when South Carolina plays overall No. 1 seed Connecticut and Texas faces UCLA. The championship game is set for Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
UConn is 38-0. Head coach Geno Auriemma is seeking his mind-blowing 13th national championship on the heels of last year's win over South Carolina. Dawn Staley and South Carolina (35-3) have won three national titles in the last nine years. Texas (35-3) won the school’s first SEC title in any sport this season. UCLA (35-1) is in the Final Four for the second year in a row.
