The NFL’s Sunday schedule concludes with an intriguing “Sunday Night Football” matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and the host Denver Broncos (8:20 p.m. ET, NBC).
Both teams rebounded nicely last week after embarrassing season-opening losses — the Rams fell 27-7 to the San Francisco 49ers in Australia, while the Broncos’ offense was anemic in a 31-10 road loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Denver came back last week and beat a strong Jacksonville Jaguars squad, while the Rams pummeled the New York Giants on Monday night, 28-6.
Bo Nix looked good against the Jags, and he finally started bonding with his newest weapon, receiver Jaylen Waddle, who caught eight passes for 138 yards. Rams QB Matthew Stafford threw four TD passes against the Giants. Receiver Davante Adams, who caught eight passes for 195 yards, had two of those scores.
