Now that the World Cup is over, it’s time for Americans — and the rest of the word, really — to focus on American football. NFL training camps are opening around the country, and it’s time to think about who’s going to win it all in 2026.
As we enter the 2026 season, there are still four teams that have never been to the Super Bowl, let alone won the whole thing. Two of those franchises at least have the excuse that they haven’t been around too long — the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars. But the other two — the Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions — have been around longer than the Super Bowl itself.
The Texans and Jaguars both made the playoffs last year, so they hope to contend in 2026. The Lions missed the postseason last year but had the best record in the NFC just two years ago. As for the Browns, well, they’re the Browns.
