Well, Monday’s Poll of the Day didn’t age well. It was just two days ago that we asked you where you thought LeBron James would be next season. One of the choices was the Los Angeles Lakers, the team for which he’s played the last eight NBA seasons — and 34% of voters thought he’d be back in L.A. in 2026. Only problem: The news broke Tuesday that James will not be returning to L.A. next season. For the record, there ws a time Tuesday morning when Lakers was the top response in our poll. Since then, Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors took over the top spot with 38% of the vote.
And here’s the other thing: Retiring after 23 NBA seasons was another choice in our poll, and 10% of voters made that conclusion. But in Tuesday’s news, it was clear that James — while saying goodbye to the Lakers — is clearly focused on signing and playing with another team for next season. So, one more team…
