The NFL Week 4 Sunday schedule concludes with a “Sunday Night Football” matchup featuring the Detroit Lions at Carolina Panthers (8:20 p.m. ET, NBC). The Lions are 2-1, though both wins were skin-of-their-teeth home victories over the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets. The Panthers are 1-2, but that’s good enough for a first-place tie in the weak NFC South.
This could be a high-scoring affair. The Lions, of course, have explosive offensive weapons in running back Jahmyr Gibbs and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. But Detroit’s defense has been struggling, and Panthers quarterback Bryce Young went into Week 4 leading the NFL with 939 passing yards.
The Lions are 3.5-point road favorites. So…
