The New York Knicks took a 3-2 lead in their best-of-seven series with the Atlanta Hawks Tuesday night with a dominating 126-97 win. Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with 39 points — his 18th career playoff game with 30-plus points, tying legendary Patrick Ewing for most in team history.
The Boston Celtics, meanwhile, could not close out their first-round series with the Philadelphia 76ers, losing at home, 113-97, setting up a Game 6 Thursday night in Philly.
The No. 2 seed Celtics and No. 3 seed Knicks are both up 3-2, on the brink of facing each other in the Eastern Conference semifinals of the NBA playoffs. Can either the Hawks or 76ers spoil that matchup?
