The headaches have started early for the Philadelphia Eagles. The Super Bowl LIX champions have won 50 games in the last four seasons, yet it always seems like there’s a problem. Head coach Nick Sirianni is on the hot seat… Until he got traded, wide receiver A.J. Brown was a distraction… Every year, there’s a new offensive coordinator… And then there’s quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Hurts is a Super Bowl MVP and he outplayed Patrick Mahomes in two Super Bowls, but he continues to be doubted in some circles. So when the Eagles’ social media team Wednesday highlighted a Hurts interception in practice, fans took notice.
Of course, the team was trying to highlight cornerback Quinyon Mitchell, who made the interception. But it was Hurts throwing a pick that fans seemed to hold on to — and it even had media speculating that the team wanted to do this to send a message to Hurts. Either way, the Eagles’ 2026 season is already getting a little contentious.
