If you had No. 6 North Carolina making a deep run in the NCAA Tournament, your bracket was basically destroyed by No. 11 VCU on Thursday night.
Although the Tar Heels had a 19-point lead over the Rams, they just couldn't execute down the stretch. Not only did they give up a 23-8 run at the end of regulation, they failed to make a single field goal during overtime.
Another reason North Carolina lost to VCU is because Hubert Davis refused to lean on his bench during the second half. Despite suffering the biggest collapse the NCAA Tournament has seen since 2018, Davis defended his decision to go with a six-man rotation.

Shortly after this game went final, the Greensboro Police Department shared this message on social media: "Please don't call us about UNC and your bracket."
Unsurprisingly, that didn't stop North Carolina fans from airing out their complaints.
"I’m in an abusive relationship with Carolina basketball and Hubert is the cause..arrest that man," one fan replied.
"Someone needs to be held accountable, how does UNC lose that game without a crime being committed," a second fan wrote.
"I mean what happened in that game was criminal but I understand y’all have jurisdictions," another fan commented.
Is Hubert Davis on the hot seat?
Davis was asked what needs to change for the Tar Heels after going back-to-back seasons with losses in the opening round of the tournament.
"That's a big-thinking question," Davis said, via ESPN. "I apologize, I'm just not there right now. Just really sad that we're not continuing to play and to move forward because I have loved and enjoyed this team. I enjoy and love all of them, but I've just really enjoyed coaching this team. I really wanted this group and these kids to experience more."
Some fans in Chapel Hill want Davis fired this Friday. It's unclear if that'll happen though.
According to USA Today, North Carolina would owe Davis roughly $5.312 million if he's fired by April 1. His current deal runs through June 30, 2030.
