Police have claimed to finding an open bottle of alcohol in Tony Romo's car during his arrest last week.
The 46-year-old Romo was arrested on suspicion of OWI in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was pulled over on the highway and failed to pass a field sobriety test. Romo was arrested and is set to appear in court on September 21, the second Monday of the NFL season.
Police released the bodycam footage from Romo's arrest on Wednesday. NFL fans took to social media, showing support for Romo and frustration toward the officer. However, new details have since emerged.

According to a report from the California Post, police have claimed to have found an open bottle of booze on the passenger side of Romo's vehicle.
"The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office released to the California Post copies of three citations its officers hit Romo with in the immediate aftermath of his July 23 arrest in Wisconsin, and one of them claimed the CBS NFL analyst had an 'open bottle of an alcoholic beverage' located on the passenger side of his black Jeep," the report states.
"A deputy discovered the item when they were taking inventory of Romo’s car as it was being towed, according to the citation. The document stated Romo is facing a $267 fine for the alleged 'possess open intoxicants in MV-driver' offense."
Romo denied having anything to drink during the arrest
Romo was asked during his traffic stop if he had anything to drink. He replied "no."
The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback turned CBS broadcaster said he was coming from a golf tournament and was heading to his grandparents' house. Romo is from Wisconsin.
The CBS broadcaster refused to take a breathalyzer test during the arrest, saying that's what he's been told to do by lawyers.
Romo is expected to remain with CBS, despite the arrest.
