The 2026 Major League Baseball trade deadline is set for Monday night at 6 p.m. E.T.
Heading into Monday night, multiple big trades have already taken place. Most notably, the Los Angeles Dodgers made a blockbuster move for Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Tarik Skubal. The Cy Young winner will join an already loaded rotation in Los Angeles, as the Dodgers go for a three-peat.
There have been some other big moves, too.
The Nationals traded Curtis Mead to the Red Sox, in exchange for Connelly Early. The White Sox, meanwhile, acquired veteran starting pitcher Luis Castillo from the Seattle Mariners.

But more trades could happen.
Pirates are looking to make multiple acquisitions
Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that the Pirates are looking to make a big move or two.
"The Pittsburgh Pirates remain active in their pursuit of upgrades, talking not just about bullpen possibilities, but also a right-handed hitting outfielder, according to a person briefed on their talks," he reported.
"Among the names under discussion: The Baltimore Orioles’ Taylor Ward and Los Angeles Angels’ Jo Adell, both of whom are candidates to be traded before Monday’s deadline at 6 p.m. ET."
Cubs looking to add, too
The Cubs are looking to make some moves in the NL Central, too.
Chicago is reportedly taking "no chances."
"The Cubs anticipate a few pitchers will return from the injured list in the final two months of the season, starting with right-hander Edward Cabrera and closer Daniel Palencia. But they’ve dealt with so many pitching ailments this season, they are taking no chances," The Athletic added.
It could be an interesting and very active deadline, to say the least.
