The Buffalo Bills are set to open their new $2.2 billion stadium this fall. Buffalo is moving to the newly-built Highmark Stadium. The world-class stadium will open for the Bills in time for the 2026 regular season.
But as the stadium is opening up this preseason, some fans are noticing some troubling aspects of the stadium, including some poorly-designed seat views.
Buffalo Weather shared multiple photos of some obstructed seats inside of the multi-billion dollar stadium.
"Whoever designed the new Bills stadium should wasn't very keen to detail. Imagine paying tens of thousands on PSLs and season tickets and walk into a view like this..." Buffalo Weather shared.
"It affects every single section in the entire upper deck of the stadium for the first 5-10 rows (depending on your height). That is thousands of people…"
Almost every stadium will have a few seats with rough views, but it's not the best of starts for this new $2.2 billion (adjusted for inflation) stadium in the AFC East.
NFL fans react to Buffalo's new stadium
NFL fans are understandably concerned.
"I can't get over how awful this is lol," one shared.
"Not a bills fan but from all accounts of anyone who’s been to the new stadium it gives me old vs new Yankee stadium vibes, you had something with extreme character and history and replaced it with a corp amusement park where games are held," one fan added.
"My view all practice just non stop people blocking the view, they better have a strict in and out policy for the game," one fan added.
"I don’t even feel bad for buffalo bills fans . These are the same people that will shovel snow for free just so their multi billion dollar team can save money," one fan added.
"Wow. Like our local new high school including a 3-4 lane indoor 200 meter track that is 196 meters. And baseball fields with fences so short the coach moved games to a community field. 😂 But actually not hunny. 🤔," one fan added.
"Remove a couple of thousand seats, problem solved!," one fan added.
