The get-in price for the 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup Final between Spain and Argentina is north of $10,000 on Sunday. But thousands of fans are paying a lot more than that to see Lionel Messi, Lamine Yamal and others do battle inside of Metlife Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Some are paying a lot more.
There's a $1 million seat package inside of New York New Jersey Stadium. The $1 million seats are literally on the Metlife Stadium grass. They're more like couches than stadium seats, too.
However, they're right in the sun, and you're not exactly getting the best angle of the action from right down on the pitch.
The photo of the $1 million seats have sparked a major debate on social media. Are they worth it?
"The view from the $1 million on-the-pitch seats sold by hospitality provider On Location for the FIFA World Cup Final at MetLife Stadium. It’s on the sunny side of the stadium, so sunhats are included," Alex Silverman wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Sunday afternoon.

Some are arguing that if you have the money, you might as well spend it. Meanwhile, others are claiming that there's just no way this is worth it.
"What’s wrong with the seat? Those who paid for it have no problem with it," one fan wrote.
"Not included: a good view of the game," another fan added.
"Paying millions to sit pitch side is such an American concept.. any football fan knows it's the worst view and seat," another fan added.
"I appreciate that working and media access makes ticket prices/cost a moot point for some journos, but considering costs, distance travelled, number of games you could see, the human rights issues of each host, which World Cup exp was your best/best for fans? This, Qatar, Russia?" another fan wondered.
"Amazing how anyone that actually attends football would know that being this low is actually bad," one fan added.
"This isn’t even a good viewing angle to what the game from," another fan added on social media.
The game should be a good one, at least, as Spain and Argentina have looked like the two best teams in the world for much of the tournament. Spain is coming off a dominant win over France, while Argentina is coming off a come-from-behind victory against England.
The two powers will square off at New York New Jersey Stadium, otherwise known as Metlife Stadium, in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday afternoon. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. E.T. on FOX.
Hopefully, those who spent $1 million on seats at the 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup Final will get what they paid for.
