Philadelphia Philliesdesignated hitter Kyle Schwaber is slashing .255/.369/.603 with an MLB-leading 29 home runs, on pace to challenge the franchise's single-season record. Now, the slugger is sharing the spotlight with fans.
On Monday, Herr's and Schwarber posted a sweepstakes on Instagram offering one fan a night in a private suite at Citizens Bank Park. The promotion, branded Herr's section 250, ties into the United States' 250th anniversary, a milestone centered on Philadelphia, where the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776.
Fans can enter for an opportunity at herrsphillies250.com. The sweepstakes began on June 15 and runs through July 15.
The giveaway lands as Philadelphia prepares to host the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby in July, placing Schwarber at the center of the city's baseball summer. He leads the majors in home runs and ranked second among the National League designated hitters in the first round of All-Star fan voting.
Schwarber's involvement comes at a time when he's competing at his best. The Phillies DH homered four times in the weekend series against the New York Mets, including three on Saturday, the fifth three-homer game of his career.
The power surge is nothing new. Since signing with the Phillies in 2022, Schwarber has hit 216 home runs, the third-most by any player in his first five seasons with one team, according to MLB.com's Sarah Langs.
