It hasn’t necessarily been easy, but the Philadelphia Eagles kicked off the 2026 NFL season with two consecutive wins. The Birds are just one of eight remaining undefeated teams in the league, and they’ll look to move to 3-0 when they travel to Chicago to take on the Bears on Monday Night Football.

What National Pundits Are Saying About the Eagles After Two Weeks
The wins haven’t been pretty, or against great competition, but pundits have been impressed by the play of star quarterback Jalen Hurts through two weeks of action.
“The defense did not dominate as expected against Washington and Tennessee, while the running game has been spotty behind an offensive line still trying to find its footing,” ESPN’s Tim McManus wrote. “Meanwhile, Hurts led the team to a Week 1 win with three touchdowns and another victory Sunday via a go-ahead touchdown drive in the closing seconds. He is tied for second in touchdown passes (five) and ahead of schedule in this new scheme.”
NFL.com’s Nick Shook also applauded Hurts’ ability to lead the Birds to victory despite some struggles.
“The Eagles found themselves in a four-quarter battle with a scrappy Titans team that gave them everything they could handle. Philadelphia’s championship culture prevailed, though,” Shook wrote. “Outside of a couple of interceptions (one ugly, the other unfortunate), Jalen Hurts was excellent as a playmaker, propelling an offense that needed him and DeVonta Smith to carry the squad to a road win.”
The Eagles will be back in action against the Bears on Monday Night Football on Sept. 28.
