He may not be the President of the United States, but for many Tennessee Volunteers fans, Peyton Manning might as well be. And he’ll be visiting his old stomping grounds on Saturday’s edition of College GameDay.
On Thursday, ESPN announced that Manning will be on the set to join Pat McAfee for his weekly kicking contest.
“Pat McAfee’s “Kicking is Easy” Contest, a fan-favorite segment, returns to College GameDay for its fourth season. Fans who arrive early will have a chance to be selected from the onsite pit and attempt a 33-yard field goal. Throughout his time on the show, McAfee and his contest have awarded more than $8 million through contest prizes and charitable donations. This week, Peyton Manning — Tennessee star quarterback, Super Bowl champion and uncle of Texas QB Arch Manning — joins Pat for the kick,” ESPN said in the announcement.

He will not, however, be the guest picker. That role will go to longtime Jackass star Johnny Knoxville.
“Actor and ‘Jackass’ star Johnny Knoxville serves as this week’s celebrity guest picker. The Knoxville native joined ThePat McAfee Show live on Thursday to announce his role,” ESPN confirmed.
POTUS on Set?
The announcement comes amid rumors that President Donald Trump will be attending the game between the Volunteers and the visiting Texas Longhorns.
But while he will be in Knoxville and at Neyland Stadium, it doesn’t look like he’ll be showing up early in the morning to join the set.
ESPN could probably have him on in some kind of surprise appearance, but you’d think that the network would want as many people to know as possible that he’d be appearing.
So unless something comes together at the last minute, it doesn’t look like it’s happening.
