Peyton and Eli Manning will be back with the “ManningCast” on Monday evening.
The Manning brothers will be back on the air on Monday night. The Los Angeles Rams are hosting the New York Giants on “Monday Night Football” this week. The game should be a good one, with the Giants coming off a big win over the Cowboys, and the Rams out for blood after a Week 1 loss to the 49ers.
Monday night, the Manning brothers will welcome several prominent guests to their show, including:
- Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul of “Breaking Bad” fame
- Former NFL star tight end Jeremy Shockey
- Longtime NFL star Andrew Whitworth
But does the “ManningCast” need guests?
NFL fans noticed that the TV ratings for the “ManningCast” were down in Week 1. Fans are pointing to one problem, too: The guests.
Fans just want to see Peyton and Eli Manning talking football. And, when they have guests on the show, they get away from that.
Clearly, based on their star-studded guest list for Week 2, they’re ignoring the NFL fan suggestions.
Peyton, Eli ignore NFL fan suggestions
NFL fans have made it clear: Get rid of the guests.
“THIS is what went wrong with the Manningcast. Someone decided it needed endless guests when all anyone wants to see is both Mannings watching the game,” one fan wrote.
“Just let them talk ball for 3 hours,” one fan added.
Other fans, meanwhile, think it makes sense to have guests.
“See this argument a lot this week. Anyone who wants to watch the manning cast for football takes was already watching the main broadcast. Bringing in non-football guests is an attempt to reach/entertain people who wouldn’t watch the main broadcast,” one fan replied.
Ultimately, though, it seems like Peyton and Eli will be sticking with the star-studded guest lists.
Is it a mistake?
