Finally, Penta delivered a full-length in-ring promo on WWE Raw Monday night. It was a moment fans had been waiting for. In fact, we hadn’t heard from Penta in this format since his debut on January 6, 2025—more than a year ago.

Penta entered the show as the new Intercontinental Champion after winning the title on last week’s Raw, defeating Dominik Mysterio, who had been “cursed” beforehand by Danhausen.

Now holding one of WWE’s most prestigious championships, Penta is firmly positioned as a leading babyface heading down the Road to WrestleMania 42.

Penta Is Dreamers and Fighters

His promo on the March 9 episode of Raw finally delivered the emotional connection fans have been waiting for. Penta’s athleticism has never been in question, but this moment allowed audiences—especially English-speaking fans—to better understand who he is.

“To everyone who believed in me, I thank you.”

That’s how Penta began. He thanked his family, friends, and fans “around the world.”

He even thanked himself, saying he believed in himself every day on the journey to becoming Intercontinental Champion.

Then he turned the moment back to the fans. According to Penta, the title is “not for Penta,” but “for everyone who never gives up.” He said he represents those people—the dreamers and the fighters in real life.

And there it was: the emotional connection to the Penta character.

He’s not just a spectacular luchador who performs incredible moves in the ring. He’s a wrestler who has spent nearly 20 years traveling the world to reach this moment.

What Does “Cero Miedo” Mean?

“Cero Miedo” means “no fear” in Spanish, and it’s Penta’s signature tagline.

Much like “Never Give Up” defined John Cena as WWE’s ultimate role-model babyface, “Zero Miedo” serves the same purpose for Penta. It’s simple, powerful, and something the entire WWE audience can rally behind.

It works on every level—for the business, for Penta as a performer, and for the fans.

Who Will Penta Face at WrestleMania?

There’s no guarantee Penta will have a spot on the WrestleMania card, but with two nights of matches, it would be surprising if WWE didn’t feature both him and the Intercontinental Championship.

If current storylines continue, a multi-person match could be in play—possibly involving El Grande Americano and former champion Dominik Mysterio.

Looking further ahead, though, there’s another matchup fans are already anticipating: a potential brother vs. brother clash between Penta and Rey Fenix.

Whenever that match happens, it could become one of WWE’s most compelling rivalries.
