Paul Heyman had an interesting way of avoiding questions after the chaos surrounding Oba Femi and Bron Breakker at WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event.
Heyman was backstage watching highlights of the match when WWE backstage interviewer Cathy Kelley approached him for answers. She wanted Heyman to address Bronson Reed’s attack on Femi, which brought the bout to an abrupt end via disqualification and saw The Vision stand tall over “The Ruler.”
However, the Hall of Famer did not give Kelley the answers she was looking for.
Instead, his phone suddenly rang. Heyman answered the call and began speaking, telling the person on the other end that he wanted to discuss what had happened that night directly. He then walked away while continuing the conversation, leaving Kelley without an answer.
The timing of the call immediately made the moment stand out. Heyman had been closely involved in the buildup to Femi and Breakker’s match, having helped establish the bout as a showdown to determine the future of WWE.
Whether the call was legitimate or simply a convenient way for Heyman to escape Kelley’s questions remains unclear. WWE did not provide an explanation during the segment.
For now, Heyman remains an intriguing figure in the situation involving Femi, Breakker and The Vision.
