As millions of people across the world get ready for Super Bowl Sunday, everyone from diehard NFL fans to party hosts to those tuning in for Bad Bunny's halftime show or the commercials all need to know the answer to one important question: What time does the game start?

The official kickoff time for the Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks is 6:30 p.m. ET. It will be televised on NBC and streamed on Peacock.

The game is being played at Levi's Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers, with a local kickoff time of 3:30 p.m. PT in Santa Clara, California.

NBC recommends viewers tune in at 6 p.m. ET to catch all the live pregame performances, including Charlie Puth's national anthem. The network lists the official Super Bowl kickoff time as "approximately" 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, meaning the real start time of the game may be a few minutes later.

In an interview with NBC Bay Area, former ESPN production executive Dennis Deninger said that based on his expertise, 6:34 p.m. ET may be a more accurate start time.

Here is the schedule to expect for the Super Bowl on NBC and Peacock (all times Eastern):

  • Noon: "Road to the Super Bowl"
  • 1 p.m.: Super Bowl LX Pregame Show
  • 3 p.m.: Green Day live performance
  • 3:50 p.m.: Teddy Swims live performance
  • 6:20 p.m.: Charlie Puth national anthem
  • 6:30 p.m.: Super Bowl LX
  • 8 p.m. (approx.): Bad Bunny Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show
  • 10 p.m. (approx.): End of game and Lombardi Trophy presentation

NBC announced a number of exciting features within its extensive Super Bowl coverage from the Bay Area this year, led by studio host Maria Taylor and game announcers Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth.

The network will air interviews with both starting quarterbacks (Drake Maye, Sam Darnold), both head coaches (Mike Vrabel, Mike Macdonald) and President of the United States Donald Trump.

But the most important thing to know about the schedule on Sunday is that the Patriots-Seahawks game officially starts at 6:30 p.m. ET.
