It has now been nearly two months since Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes last took the field. This also means that his wife, Brittany Mahomes, has not been able to cheer on her husband in his ninth season in the NFL.
Patrick Mahomes’ last game was on Dec. 14 against the Los Angeles Chargers. The two-time NFL MVP injured his knee late in the contest, which the Chiefs lost, 16-13. Kansas City was eliminated from playoff contention after that defeat. Mahomes was later diagnosed with a season-ending torn ACL and LCL in his left knee.
While the Chiefs quarterback has been working hard on his rehab during the offseason, it was his wife who was nursing an illness on Thursday.

Brittany Mahomes took to social media to share a health update. The 30-year-old revealed that she’s quite sick.
"Just still recapping cause I have been in bed all day very unwell from the stomach bug 😵💫🤦♀️" she posted on her Instagram story on Thursday night.
Brittany Mahomes did not provide the full details of her illness. It is currently unclear when she first felt ill or how she contracted the stomach bug. However, the fact that she has been forced to stay in bed all day is not a good sign. She also described her condition as “very unwell.”
Patrick and Brittany Mahomes have been together for 14 years now. They started dating in 2012 while attending Whitehouse High School in Texas. They got engaged eight years later following Patrick Mahomes’ ring ceremony from Super Bowl 54. The couple got married in March 2022 in Maui, Hawaii.
Patrick and Brittany Mahomes have three children. Their eldest is Sterling, who is turning 5 this February. They have one son, Bronze, who is 3. Their youngest daughter, Golden, turned 1 last January.
