Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes has three kids with his wife, Brittany Mahomes.
Their eldest is Sterling, 5, followed by a son, Bronze, who is 3. Their youngest child is Golden, who turned 1 in January.
Raising three young kids is no easy task, and Brittany Mahomes is dealing with one of the physical drawbacks. The 30-year-old took to social media on Tuesday to share a medical condition she has been dealing with for quite some time but was only recently diagnosed.
Mahomes revealed in an Instagram story that she has De Quervain’s tenosynovitis. The condition is more commonly known as “mother’s wrist.”
“To find out I have this.” she wrote. “Been battling it for probably around a year now thinking it will just get better, well it never did and started to get pretty bad. …”
In her post, the Whitehouse, Texas, native shared a Google screenshot explaining her medical condition. According to the post, mother’s wrist is described as “a painful condition causing swelling and stiffness on the thumb side of the wrist, common in new mothers due to repetitive lifting and hormonal changes.”
In her next post, Mahomes shared a photo of her arm with a wrist/thumb support brace. It appears to be a compression and stabilization device to help cure her condition.
“I get to wear this cool thing...” she wrote.
Mahomes is not the only one in the household dealing with an injury. Her husband, Patrick Mahomes, is rehabbing a season-ending knee injury.
The four-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback tore the ACL and LCL in his left knee in Week 15 of the 2025 season. He underwent surgery and has been working hard to regain full strength.
The good news is Mahomes is progressing well, and he is expected to be ready for the start of the new season.
