The elder Pat Mahomes has made a request to a judge before Week 1 of the 2026 NFL regular season.
Pat Mahomes Sr. is requesting to the court to allow him to travel for his son’s NFL games. Mahomes Sr. remains on probation following a DUI arrest. Mahomes Sr. filed the motion in Tyler, Texas. He is requesting to attend seven of his son’s games in Kansas City, Missouri; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Cincinnati, Ohio, according to FOX10.
“The filing states Mahomes Sr. understands he is required to submit urinalysis testing as requested by his supervision officer before and after travel, on each occasion. The filing also notes Mahomes Sr. completed 160 hours of community service and completed a 16-week outpatient treatment program at Cenikor, a nonprofit that provides substance abuse disorder treatment and behavioral health services,” Fox 10 reported.
“The motion states a Smith County community supervision officer verified Mahomes Sr.’s compliance with all current probation conditions and that he is continuously monitored via an ankle device.”
Mahomes Sr. previously had an ankle monitor, though he asked for it to be removed earlier this summer, as he said it caused swelling, skin irritation and tissue damage. Mahomes Sr. plead guilty to driving while intoxicated in 2024 and he was sentenced to five years of probation.
He was arrested again in February. He extended his probation after a violation extended his probation for an additional two years.
