Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes fell from the No. 1 quarterback in Pro Football Focus‘ quarterback rankings to No. 3 for Week 7. He has completed 66.5% of his passes for 1,309 yards (17th), nine touchdowns (tied for 13th) and three interceptions.
Mahomes was good when called upon in a 22-6 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. He went 23-for-30 or 272 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. The INT came on an ill-advised throw into the end zone but ultimately didn’t come back to bite them. He was operating without two of his top receivers in Rashee Rice (hamstring) and Tyquan Thornton (ankle). Tight end Travis Kelce also turned his ankle in the game and was gimpy throughout.
