Pat McAfee couldn’t help but troll Dan Orlovsky during this Monday night’s game between the Washington Commanders and San Francisco 49ers.
The Commanders and 49ers were under the spotlight for McAfee’s first alternate broadcast of “Monday Night Football.” McAfee’s social media team shared a handful of clips from this week’s “Monday Night FootballField Pass.”
There was a moment during the third quarter where McAfee mocked Orlovsky for being on both knees while calling the game.
“Dan, you can’t keep doing this,” McAfee said. “This is our first time doing this [show].”

This brief interaction opened the floodgates for countless jokes involving Orlovsky and his infamous safety from the 2008 season.
“He’s used to running out of the back of the end zones,” one fan commented.
“I saw Dan behind the endzone and thought he ran out the back of it again,” another fan replied.
McAfee and Orlovsky will be at the Super Bowl.
ESPN has already announced that “Monday Night Football FieldPass” will televise the following games:
- Week 9 – Bills at Vikings
- Week 12 – Panthers at Buccaneers
- Week 14 – Steelers at Jaguars
- Week 16 – Giants at Lions
- Week 18 – doubleheader TBD
McAfee will also host an alternate broadcast for Super Bowl LXI at SoFi Stadium. Additional details regarding that specific show will be released at a later date.
