Who Is Paige?
Paige, whose real name is Saraya-Jade Bevis, was one of WWE’s defining women’s stars of the 2010s. She became the youngest Divas Champion in company history at 21 and played a key role in the transition toward WWE’s modern women’s division.
She retired from in-ring competition in 2018 following a serious neck injury, but remained involved in WWE programming in various roles before departing in 2022. She later returned to the ring in AEW, wrestling under her real name, but left the promotion in 2025.
Her life story was depicted in Fighting With My Family, which starred The Rock.
Why This Is a Major Moment
Like AJ Lee, fans never expected Paige to wrestle again in WWE. Her return from a neck injury follows the likes of Edge and Daniel Bryan who also retired from in-ring competition.
Given that AJ Lee will also be wrestling at WrestleMania, this is a full circle moment for fans and the women's division.
The Women’s Tag Team Championships are scheduled to be defended on Night One of WrestleMania, which takes place Saturday, April 18 at 6 p.m. ET. In the United States, the event will stream on ESPN Unlimited.
