The Indiana Fever’s season came to an end with a first-round exit in the WNBA playoffs. However, Tyasha Harris’ campaign concluded even before the postseason started.
Harris went down with a fractured left fibula during the Fever’s final regular-season game against the Minnesota Lynx. As a result, the 5-foot-10 guard had to watch from the sidelines as Las Vegas defeated Indiana 2-1 in their playoff series.
Harris inked a one-year deal with the Fever during the previous offseason after spending the 2025 campaign with the Dallas Wings, where she suffered a knee injury that limited her to five games.
After the rather disappointing end to her season and the Fever’s playoff run, Harris shared an emotional message on social media to reflect on the year she had and share her appreciation for what she and the team had accomplished.

“I was hoping this post would be about making it through my first surgery, fighting my way back, and being able to finish a healthy season,” Harris wrote in part. “How surreal it was to play for hometown when I was a little kid in the stands cheering to now being on the court playing. Instead, God had a different plan for how this chapter would end.”
Harris’ post garnered a number of reactions from her peers. Among those who cheered for her was Dallas Wings star and former teammate Paige Bueckers.
“Proud of you,” Bueckers wrote.
Harris enters the 2027 offseason as an unrestricted free agent. It remains to be seen whether the Fever will bring the guard back for next season or whether another team will swoop in to sign her.
Regardless, Harris is remaining optimistic when it comes to her recovery, as she expressed her belief that she will be able to bounce back once again.
It’s also clear that Harris is well-supported by her Fever teammates and her WNBA peers like Bueckers.
