Paige Bueckers, one of the WNBA’s top stars, is facing backlash online for what fans are calling “inappropriate” behavior in her Team USA jersey.
The young WNBA star is set to represent the United States of America in the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Berlin, Germany. Bueckers, who starred collegiately at UConn, is one of 12 players representing the American women. Team USA is set to begin play on Friday, taking on China.
This week, Bueckers and her teammates got their Team USA jerseys. Bueckers will be rocking No. 4 for Team USA. She appears to be getting comfortable in her uniform.
However, did she take things too far?
While it’s OK to have fun, some fans think that it’s “inappropriate” and “disrespectful” to do that kind of dance while representing your country.
