Micah Parsons has watched on as the Green Bay Packers dropped to 1-2 on the 2026 NFL season, falling to Michael Penix Jr. and the Atlanta Falcons 35-14 in Week 3’s edition of “Thursday Night Football.” Now, the Packers will look to bounce back in Week 4, hitting the road to take on the Baker Mayfield-less Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
Parsons has been out for Green Bay’s first three games of the 2026 season while recovering from a torn ACL he suffered last year. Before this season, the former Dallas Cowboys star was placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, which will keep the linebacker out until at least Week 5 when the Packers face the Chicago Bears.
But while Parsons has been recovering, the star defender has been keeping an eye on the rest of the NFL as well, including Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chiefs move to 3-0 on the season after a 24-10 Week 3 win over the Miami Dolphins. But with 2:26 remaining in the third quarter of that game, Mahomes and Kansas City faced a 3rd-and-long inside their own five. As Mahomes went into his own end zone to pass, the quarterback released the ball before he was hit hard by Dolphins defensive end Chop Robinson.
The ref immediately went for his flag, calling a roughing the passer on Robinson and giving the Chiefs a first down. And some people even noticed that the official in the back of the end zone went for his flag before Mahomes was even hit.
“Watch this guy,” writer Miguel Chapeton said. “Let’s see how quickly he pulls the flag out. So that’s a little bit weird, already going to it. Already going to it, right? He’s pulling for it already. That’s crazy. The flag is out before he even finishes the act.”
Chapeton’s video going over the roughing the passer on Mahomes caught the attention of Parsons, who had one word for the incident: “Wow?!”
The Packers will face the Bucs on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
