New details have emerged about the final hours of Benjamin Satterley, better known to wrestling fans as PAC, following his death at 40 years old.
The AEW star was reportedly found unresponsive inside a vehicle in Des Plaines, Illinois, shortly before he was pronounced dead on Sunday.
According to a report from the New York Post, Satterley was discovered in a vehicle in the parking lot of a CAVA restaurant at around 4 p.m. Emergency responders were called after people at the restaurant noticed him inside the car.
Dispatch audio obtained by the Post captured authorities describing the situation as a person who had “passed out” in a vehicle. Responders reportedly said they could not confirm whether Satterley was breathing when they arrived.
A witness told the outlet that several customers noticed Satterley and called 911. Some reportedly searched inside the restaurant for medical equipment while waiting for emergency personnel to arrive. The witness said an ambulance, police vehicle and fire truck were subsequently outside the restaurant.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office told the Post that Satterley was pronounced dead at 4:08 p.m.
An initial autopsy has been completed, but additional testing is still required before an official cause of death can be determined. A spokesperson said there were no indications of foul play or trauma and that Satterley’s death did not appear to be suspicious.

PAC Cause of Death Remains Pending After Initial Autopsy
The circumstances surrounding Satterley’s death have led to speculation online, including unverified claims about a blood clot or aneurysm.
Those claims have not been confirmed by AEW, Satterley’s family, or the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, and there is currently no verified cause of death.
Satterley had been in Illinois for AEW All Out, where he faced Andrade El Idolo for the National Championship on September 26. He lost the match but later appeared during the AEW World Championship main event between Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay.
AEW announced his death the following day, remembering the Newcastle upon Tyne native for his high-flying style and in-ring ability. Satterley had been wrestling professionally since 2004 and joined AEW in 2019 after his WWE run as Neville.
For now, the medical examiner’s pending testing remains the only path toward establishing what caused Satterley’s death. Until those findings are released, claims about the circumstances should be treated as speculation rather than fact.
