The Atlanta Braves own the best record in MLB at 44-21. The Braves lead the NL East by nine and a half games over the Philadelphia Phillies, powered by a lineup that still runs through second baseman Ozzie Albies.
Albies is in his 10th MLB season, all in Atlanta. A three-time All-Star and a member of the 2021 World Series team, he came up through the Braves’ system and has been a fixture in the middle infield since 2017. The 29-year-old is batting .275 with a .333 on-base percentage, 10 home runs and 36 RBIs this season.
Away from the field, Albies is turning to his fans.

The Braves second baseman announced on Instagram on Saturday that he is teaming up with More Than Sports, a sports memorabilia company, the Ozzie Albies Foundation and his apparel brand on a giveaway that will send one winner four Braves tickets, a meet-and-greet and an autograph opportunity.
The winner will be announced on Monday, June 15.
The Ozzie Albies Foundation gives the giveaway a cause. Albies and his wife, Andreia, launched the foundation in February 2022, months after the Braves' championship run, to rescue and rehabilitate shelter dogs. The Marietta-based non-profit relies on a foster network and funds adoptions, veterinary care and rehabilitation for dogs with behavioral challenges.
For Albies, the giveaway doubles as outreach, turning a fan's entry into support for a cause that he and his wife have built since 2022. One gets the tickets. The dogs that the foundation works to place get the attention.
