The Oregon Ducks will be without starting quarterback Dante Moore for a third game when they travel to face the Illinois Fighting Illini on Saturday.
The Big Ten availability report released Wednesday listed Moore as out as he continues to recover from the concussion he suffered in Oregon’s 41-27 win at USC on Sept. 26.
Moore was injured during a second-quarter scramble when USC linebacker Desman Stephens II delivered a hard hit as the quarterback attempted to slide. Moore remained down before being carted off the field and transported to Los Angeles General Medical Center.

Head coach Dan Lanning has said Moore has continued to practice and throw, but he has not provided a timetable for his return or said whether the senior has cleared concussion protocol.
Asked about Moore’s situation and whether or not he’s still in concussion protocol, Lanning declined to disclose that information on Monday.
“I’m not able to tell you that,” Lanning said.
With Moore unavailable again, Oregon will turn to either Dylan Raiola or Brock Thomas against Illinois, as Lanning has not announced a starter yet.

Raiola replaced Moore during the USC game before Thomas took over during Oregon’s loss to UCLA two weeks ago. Thomas then started last week against Nebraska, but Raiola replaced him in the fourth quarter and led the Ducks to a 17-14 comeback victory.
The Ducks enter the matchup against Illinois 4-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play after falling out of the rankings for the first time since 2022.
Illinois will host Oregon at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday.
