Kenneth Walker III is the lone Kansas City Chiefs player on the NFLPA's rising stars list. The lack of recognition came just one season after it reached back-to-back Super Bowls.
The league’s labor union named 10 emerging rookies and 10 standout veterans, with the running back at No. 4 among the experienced players. According to the NFLPA, the players on the list are "expected to drive the next wave of consumer demand across licensed products, collectibles and brand partnerships."
New Orleans Saints quarterback Tyler Shough, Chicago Bears tight end Colston Loveland and Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers sit in the top three spots. Carolina Panthers wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout Emeka Egbuka and Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride follow Walker.

Walker signed a three-year, $45 million contract with the Chiefs on March 12. He arrives fresh off a Super Bowl win with the Seattle Seahawks and earned Super Bowl MVP honors for his performance.
The No. 41 pick in 2022 recorded 27 carries for a season-high 135 yards and 26 receiving yards last season. He achieved the most rushing yards in a Super Bowl since Terrell Davis in 1998.
Many expected the Seahawks to re-sign the Super Bowl MVP. However, he explored the open market and Kansas City didn't waste time offering him a three-year deal. Walker's addition provides Patrick Mahomes with another proven weapon he can maximize starting in 2026.
The Chiefs are coming off a disappointing season, finishing with a 6-11 record and missing the playoffs. They are looking forward to bouncing back strong, and the lack of players on the NFLPA's list could fuel their drive further.
