Caitlin Clark gave Indiana Fever teammate Tyasha Harris her well-deserved flowers after their latest win.
On Friday, Indiana welcomed the Dallas Wings on their home floor at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in a marquee matchup, and Clark acknowledged the incredible performance from her veteran teammate.
Harris exploded for 15 points on a perfect 5-for-5 shooting from the three-point area in 17 minutes of play to help the Fever secure the 98-87 victory.
Clark had some high praise for her outstanding shooting night and her overall impact on the team.
“Ty is probably one of the best teammates I’ve had,” Clark proclaimed. “She’s always there supporting everybody, uplifting everybody. So it’s really fun to see her kind of come into her own and thrive.”
This explosive game from Harris was her first double-digit output since July 22 when she finished with 12 points and six assists against the Seattle Storm.
The former Iowa superstar also revealed the work ethic Harris exhibits with the team, regardless of the minutes she sees on the court.
“Whether she plays two minutes or she plays 20 minutes, she’s the same person in the locker room and shows up and works every single day,” Clark said.
Clark spearheaded Indiana’s offense with her 30th career double-double of 29 points and 10 assists, to go along with three boards and one steal.
Other Fever players who significantly contributed on the offensive end are Kelsey Mitchell, who had 23 points and Aliyah Boston, who finished with a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds.
