College Football is upon us, which means the Preseason AP Poll has been announced, setting the bar for all 138 FBS teams as they set their sights on a national championship. For NFL teams like the Jacksonville Jaguars, it’s time for scouts to get their notebooks, as thousands of players look to make their mark in their final college football season before declaring for the NFL Draft. So, to commemorate the event, here is one NFL Draft Prospect from each team in the Preseason AP top five for Jaguars fans to look out for this college football season.
Ohio State – LB Christian Alliegro
Despite this being one of the more hyped-up classes in recent memory, the depth at inside linebacker, as is par for the course recently, has been lacking. One of the top candidates for LB1 is Ohio State’s Christian Alliegro. Alliegro, a former Wisconsin Badger, has the unenviable task of replacing now-Washington Commanders linebacker Sonny Styles in the middle of Ohio State defensive coordinator Matt Patricia’s defense. But at 6’4”, 245 pounds, with freak-like athleticism, Alliegro should fit right in where Styles left off.
Oregon – S Koi Perich

Speaking of big shoes to fill, former Minnesota Gopher Koi Perich is on his way to Eugene, Oregon, to fill the shoes of now-Chicago Bears safety Dillon Thieneman. Perich had a phenomenal freshman season in 2024 that ended with him tied for the fourth-most interceptions with five, along with 46 tackles (28 solo), 2.5 tackles for loss and a forced fumble. While his tackle production increased and he got his first pick-six, his sophomore season did not have the same impact as the freshman season. Now, Perich has a chance to truly play himself into the back end of the first round of next year’s draft.
Georgia – OL Earnest Greene III
Liam Coen knows that if an offensive game plan is going to work, it has to work through the big guys up front. Right now, those big guys are going through a hard time, trying to survive the injury bug’s vicious bite to make it to the start of this season. But if they’re looking for a piece to add to the lineup next season, Georgia’s Earnest Greene III will make a valuable addition to the Jaguars offensive line. Greene has played both tackle spots, but his long-term future is on the inside. Greene is a nasty, violent, physical run blocker who will make life a nightmare for opposing defenders, both on the move and in pass protection.
Notre Dame – OT Anthonie Knapp

Staying on the topic of offensive linemen, Notre Dame’s Anthonie Knapp is a worthwhile prospect for this list. Knapp made Bruce Feldman’s Freaks list as the 63rd-ranked athletic specimen in the country. Knapp is a young tackle prospect who is only getting better with more reps. If Monroe Freeling can get himself into late first-round talks, Knapp can follow the same blueprint to get into those talks in the 2027 NFL draft.
Texas – RB Raleek Brown

Welcome to days two and three of the draft: Texas running back Raleek Brown probably could have come out this draft cycle, but he and running back Hollywood Smothers have a chance to be a special duo down in Austin. Brown’s vision and elusiveness make him one of the more dangerous backs in this cycle.
