There’s no way to sugarcoat it: Week 2 was a disaster for the New York Giants.
For starters, the Giants suffered a 28-6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Their secondary had no answer for Davante Adams, who hauled in eight passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns. They also had a tough time slowing down the Rams’ rushing attack, as Blake Corum and Kyren Williams had 164 rushing yards.
Not only did the Giants suffer a blowout loss, second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart went down with a serious knee injury. Pass rusher Brian Burns and left tackle Andrew Thomas also suffered injuries in that game.

As if the Giants needed more drama, Odell Beckham Jr. posted a cryptic message online after the game went final.
“When u win, everybody got the answer,” Beckham wrote on X. “When u lose, everybody got the answer!!”
Beckham might be calling out the Giants’ critics, but some fans are wondering if he’s disgruntled with his role on offense.
The 2026 season could get worse for the G-Men.
According to multiple reports, Dart’s knee injury is worse than initially expected. There’s a chance he could miss the rest of the season, albeit Giants coach John Harbaugh isn’t ready to make that announcement just yet.
“That’s not my job. I’m not a media person. I just can’t do that,” Harbaugh said. “It’s not the right thing to do. I don’t even know all the answers because I’m not the person who’s hurt. I’m not the doctor.”
If Dart is out for the remainder of the season, the Giants’ chances of making the playoffs will dip dramatically.
